Kathryn R. Mortimer

Clinton - Kathryn R. Mortimer, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Leominster Hospital following a brief illness. She is survived by her nephew Edward O'Donnell & his wife Catherine of Leominster; great-niece Leslie Stanley & three great-great-nephews, Shawn of Leominster, Jason and Erik, both of Fitchburg. She leaves extended family, and many dear friends, notably Roseanne Lamarche, Rosemary Foley, and Margaret Prendergast. She is predeceased by her sister Mary M. O'Donnell.

Kathryn was born in Clinton to the late John & Nora (McNamara) Mortimer. She graduated from the Clinton High School, Class of 1945 and Worcester School of Business Science. She worked throughout her career as an administrative assistant with several companies including Colorado Fuel & Iron, Clinton Housing Authority, Van Brode Milling Company, and General Radio. A woman of great faith, Kathryn was a life member of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish in Clinton and adorer of the Blessed Sacrament. She was an avid reader and devoted fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. Above all she was a dedicated aunt who will be dearly missed and remembered lovingly by family and friends. Calling hours will be held from 9:30-11AM on Monday, May 14, 2018 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will be held in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster.
