Lorraine M. Lemieux, 90


Lorraine M. (Duquette) Lemieux, 90, died on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, surrounded by loving family members in Care One At Millbury, after a long illness.

Her husband of 67 years, Daniel H. "Bert" Lemieux, Jr., died on May 8, 2018.

She leaves six children: Paul L. Lemieux and his wife, Patricia A. (Woodard) Lemieux, of Sarasota, FL, Suzanne C. Lemieux of Middlefield, Marie L. Bolduc and her husband, Paul B. Bolduc, of Stafford Springs, CT, Lynne V. Lemieux, Sharon J. Vitale and her husband, Steven R. Vitale, and Michael G. Lemieux, all of Millbury; five grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; two brothers: George P. Duquette and Paul E. Duquette and his wife, Joan, all of Worcester; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, George F. and Leona V. (Chevalier) Duquette of Worcester; three sons: Stephen G. Lemieux and Daniel H. Lemieux III, both of Millbury, and Allen F. Lemieux of Worcester; a granddaughter, Jennifer L. Landry of Millbury; a sister, Claire L. Duquette of Worcester; and a brother, Eugene E. Duquette of Port St. Lucie, FL.

Mrs. Lemieux was born in Worcester on January 9, 1928; she was a 1946 graduate of David Hale Fanning Trade School For Girls, Worcester. She moved to Millbury in 1950.

She was a faithful member of Assumption Catholic Parish, Millbury. A skilled homemaker, she loved taking care of her husband and family and she particularly enjoyed baking, gardening, shopping, and relaxing at the ocean, especially at Salisbury Beach.

Mrs. Lemieux's funeral will be Saturday, September 8, from Turgeon Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. in Assumption Catholic Church, 10 Waters St. After the Mass, she will be buried beside her beloved Bert in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and offer their condolences to her family in the funeral home from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, before the Mass.
