Nancy R. Chavoor
WORCESTER - Nancy Roxie Chavoor, 81, of Dover, New Hampshire, and formerly of Worcester, died Friday, October 23, 2015 at her home.
Nancy was born in Worcester, daughter of Avedis and Araksi (Chatalbash) Chavoor. She graduated from the former Commerce High School in Worcester. She attended Becker Junior College and graduated from Academie Moderne in Boston.
Nancy managed her family business, Chandler Realty Corporation of Worcester, for many years. She was also a credit manager at Associates Financial Services where she worked for 40 years. Her skills earned her the Gulf & Western Chairman's Award.
In retirement, Nancy was a great help to her niece and her niece's husband at Medical Arts Hearing Instruments of Leominster.
Nancy was a wonderful daughter, sister and aunt, and enjoyed the time spent with her dear friends.
Nancy leaves her niece, Darrylin J. Besnilian-Wasiuk and her husband Anthony A. Wasiuk; and great nephews, Peter A. Wasiuk and Michael M. Wasiuk. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Besnilian and Anita Keljikian, and her brother-in-law, Martin Keljikian.
Her family meant everything to her, especially her sisters Mary and Anita.
Nancy spent much of her life caring for others. The attention to detail and poise with which she carried herself was evident all throughout her life, and her class and reserve was distinctive, innate, and unmistakable to those who were lucky enough to get to know her.
Nancy enjoyed travel, music and her hobby of ceramics. She was elected Queen of the Worcester Armenian Inter-Club Council in 1951. Nancy was beautiful inside and out. She will be greatly missed.
Many thanks go to the wonderful caregivers at Watson Fields Assisted Living of Dover.
