Patricia M. Glavin, 65

HOLDEN - Patricia M. Glavin, 65, of Holden, died peacefully at home on December 24th.

She was born in Clinton, MA on June 9, 1953, daughter of the late Charles J. and Christine (Cavanaugh) Glavin.

She is survived by two sisters, Julie A. Glavin of Spencer, MA and Margaret M. Glavin of Worcester and a brother Michael T. Glavin and his wife Mary of Sterling, MA. She also leaves four nephews, CPT Matthew T. Glavin, U.S. Army and his wife Daria of St. Robert, MO, Brendan C. Glavin of Portland, ME, Daniel C. Glavin of Arlington, VA, David J. Glavin of Sterling and a niece Hannah C. Glavin of East Falmouth, MA, and many cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved brother Charles J. Glavin, Jr. in 2015.

Pat graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Worcester, attended Fairfield University and graduated from Becker College with a degree in fashion merchandising.

She loved to swim and was an accomplished skier and diver in her youth. She was also a talented artist and block printer with a flair for fashion. In recent years, she was an avid reader and especially loved biographies.

She worked in sales and marketing for many years. Before retiring, she worked at The Lutheran Home in Worcester as a receptionist, which she enjoyed immensely.

There is a calling hour Friday, December 28, from 10 to 11 a.m. in St. George's Church, 38 Brattle St., Worcester. The funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be Saturday in St. Peter's Cemetery, Great Barrington, MA.
