Robert Harris Jr. Obituary
Robert E. Harris, Jr.

SPRING HILL, FL - Robert E. Harris, Jr. "Bob" 68, of Spring Hill FL, joined our Father in Heaven while awaiting his transplant for cirrhosis of the liver. Bob was a fun loving, quick witted, affable character, loved by many. You just waited to see what he would come out with next.

Bob attended Wachusett Regional High School of Holden, MA, and graduated from Worcester State Colle of Worcester, MA with a BA Teaching Degree in History. Bob worked at Parker Oil in Holden, substitute taught in West Boylston, snowplowed for the City of Worcester, then joined the Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 170 in 1985, and drove a tractor-trailer for Yellow/Roadway Corp. for 25 years.

He was a deacon of the First Congregational Church UCC of Oxford, MA, a member of the Oxford Masonic Lodge AF&AM, a 32nd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite and a Noble of the Mystic Shrine in Aleppo Temple. He was a proud lifetime member of the NRA as well as the Rutland Sportsman's Club. The New York Giants and Boston Red Sox were his diehard teams. He enjoyed ice hockey, skeet shooting, riding snowmobiles, scuba diving, and racquetball in his younger years, but once he started playing golf, he was hooked.

Bob and Jenny retired to Timber Pines in 2010. He quickly adapted to the casual Florida life, and made many close friends. His mottos were "Never leave Florida" and "I didn't move to Florida to wear pants". He continued to work on boards and committees, both for the neighborhood and the Timber Pines Community as a whole. If you needed anything, you could always count on Bob to help you. If you were not with him, you knew where to find him; on one of the Golf Courses in his red golf cart enjoying a wonderful retirement.

He was the son of Robert Harris Sr., deceased, and Nancy (Wallace) Giangrande. He was raised in Rutland, MA by his loving yet strict Grandmother Caroline Wallace, who passed in 1983.

Bob leaves his wife Jennifer. They were married twice in the 30 years they have been together. As of late he referred to her as his rock. He and his first wife, Kathleen Monahan, had a son, Robert C. Harris Sr. who was with him as he slipped from our lives on May 30, 2018. Bobby is the ex-husband of Annette and Dad to Alliyanna and Robert Craig Harris Jr. (Robbie Bobby Do). Jenny's children and their families; Patricia Wisneski, ex-wife of Brian Wisneski, their children Mackenzie and Ashton Wisneski; and Matthew LeMay, husband to Starla, and their boys Cameron and Tyler LeMay. Being a big kid himself, Bob especially loved time with the Grandchildren.

Brothers Herbert H. Harris, and Timothy A. Harris preceded him in death. He also leaves sisters Melissa Suazo of Nevada and Florence DuBay of Maine, four Step Grandchildren, Angelina, Timothy, James, and Aundrea, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Bob's life will be held on June 13th at 1:00 pm in the Main Room at the Lodge of Timber Pines. Please bring a story to share and casual attire only. Donations may be made in his memory to Florida Sherrifs Youth Ranches, Inc. P.O. Box 2000, Boys Ranch, FL 32064, by phone 800-765-3797, or online [email protected]
