Stella Bienkiewicz, 72

Clinton - Stella H. Bienkiewicz, 72, passed away in her residence on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 following a brief illness. She is survived by her sister, Anne Moynihan, wife of the late James Moynihan of FL; her brother, Albert J. Bienkiewicz & wife Joann of Clinton; brother-in-law William A. Lamb, Jr., husband of the late Jane Lamb, of Sterling; nieces, nephews, and their families, Peter Bienkiewicz, Melissa Cypull & husband Ted, Mary, Stephen, and David Moynihan, and Robin Carlsen; extended family and friends.

Stella was born in Ayer to the late Adolf and Helen (Olczevska) Bienkiewicz. She was raised in Clinton and graduated from the Clinton High School, Class of 1965. Stella worked for many years at the Colonial Press and later for ITT Surprenant in Clinton. She was a woman of great faith and devout member of the former Our Lady of Jasna Gora Parish. She was proud of her Polish heritage, always remained fiercely independent, and was a unique personality who left a lasting impression on those she met. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton, with burial to follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. A calling hour will be held prior to Mass on Wednesday morning from 10 until 11AM in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton.
