Grace Quiquandon Obituary
Grace Quiquandon, 89

WORCESTER - Grace Quiquandon, 89, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on June 10th in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Born in Santiago, Chile, the daughter of Abraham and Laura Valle, she was the 3rd of 5 brothers & sisters. She married Pablo Quiquandon in 1949 and they raised their two daughters Patricia and Pauline.

Grace and her family immigrated to the United States in the 1970s and settled in Hampton, NH. She was a proud American citizen and grateful to live in a country where their hard work was rewarded with opportunity. She lived to see how the determination and values she instilled in her family would manifest into success and abundance throughout her lifetime.

Consistent with her name, she possessed a grace and strength that few others do. The consummate caretaker, she will be remembered as the most loving and supportive mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Grace was the matriarch of her family, a peacemaker with an unwavering commitment to bringing everyone together.

She was a devoted Catholic and animal lover. Grace loved sewing and cooking and would spend hours preparing her Chilean specialties like empanadas and pastel de choclo.

Grace leaves behind her two daughters; grandchildren Carolita, Breana, Patrick and Kathleen; great-grandchildren Evan, Liam, Olivia, Quin and Finn; her caregiver Polixenia Shule, and countless others whose lives she touched. She was predeceased by her husband in 2007, with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage.

The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 13, at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street, Worcester. The visitation will be held Monday, June 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. and flowers may be sent to the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster Street, Worcester.

Memorial donations may be made to the MSPCA.
