Her husband David J. Splaine died in 1986. Her son David F. Splaine died in 2006.

She leaves two sons, Michael J. Splaine of Princeton, and Stephen B. Splaine and his wife Athena of Leicester; six grandchildren, Alexander J., Matthew S., Brady W., Kyle J., Cory J., and David J. Splaine; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was also blessed with many kind and loving friends.

Louise was the Office Manager at Sullivan, Garrity and Donnelly insurance agency where she worked for 50 years. They were her second family.

She was a member of St. John's Church in Worcester, and an active supporter of its Food for the Poor program.

Louise loved summering on Cape Cod with her family where she also had many lifelong friends. She was an amazing cook and her lasagna and sweets will be missed by many. She enjoyed laving special meals at the Jenkins Inn in Barre and Sonoma in Princeton. She was a hockey mom and a Bruins fan until the very end. But most of all she was a wonderful mother to her three sons and never missed an opportunity to help someone in need.
