Rosemary E. Carroll, 85

NEWBURYPORT - Rosemary E. (Lalone) Carroll, 85, of 113 Low St., Newburyport, and formerly of Millbury and Worcester, passed away on December 14th, 2017, after a long illness.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Silvio and Jenny (Fay) Lalone on September 23, 1932. She was married on April 2, 1956 to Harry F. Carroll, who passed away in 1989. Besides her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by a sister Irene A. Hayden and a brother Richard T. Lalone.

She leaves a son Michael Carroll and his wife Francine of Hampton Falls, N.H.; a daughter Susan O'Malley and her husband Mark of Annapolis, Md.; and a daughter Maura Noce and her husband Jon of Haverhill. She also leaves seven grandchildren, Brian Carroll, his wife Robyn and their daughter Ashlyn; Sean Carroll, his wife Natasha and their sons Neil and Roy, Shannon Gagnon and her husband Christopher, Elizabeth O'Malley and her fiancé Jason Kanno, Conor O'Malley, Juliana Noce and Dominic Noce.

Mrs. Carroll was a member of St. Stephen's and Our Lady of Lourdes parishes of Worcester. She was also a member of the Red Hats and the Millbury Woman's Club.

There will be a calling hour Monday, December 18, from 9 to 10 AM at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.
