Anna Bagley, 92

Worcester - Anna (Maher) Bagley, 92, late of Centerville, Massachusetts and recently a resident of St. Mary's Health Center in Worcester, died on December 13, 2016 after bravely facing illness.

Anna is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years William F. Bagley as well as by her sons William F. Bagley, Jr. and his wife Mary of Worcester, Thomas S. Bagley of Centerville, MA and James M. Bagley and his wife Beatrice of Fairfield, CT. Her brother Laurence Maher and his wife Jeanette live in Millbury (parents of her six nieces Patricia, Sheila, Kathleen, Moira, Julie and Ann and her late nephew Timmy). Her sister Marie T. Maher died last summer. She leaves grandchildren Sarah M. Bagley, MD, Lauren Bagley Noonan, William F. Bagley III, James M. Bagley, Jr., Thomas S. Bagley, Jr., Andrew MacKenzie Bagley and Anna K. Bagley. She left great-grandchildren Lucy Bagley Feldman, Theodore Bagley Feldman, Thomas Noonan, Elizabeth Noonan and James M. Bagley, III.

Anna and Bill resided in Uxbridge and in Manhattan prior to their 37 years in Centerville. She was born in Hopedale, the daughter of Laurence S. and Florence (MacKenzie) Maher. As a child she spent summers in Nova Scotia.

Anna graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Milford, MA where she met Bill. She later graduated from St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing and was a registered nurse. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and wife. Her family meant everything to her. Her faith was at the core of her being.

Calling hours will be at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster Street, Worcester, Massachusetts from 4:30 to 7:30 pm on Friday December 16th. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 17th, at St. Peter's Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester, Massachusetts.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Mary's Health Care of Worcester, Notre Dame Hospice of Worcester or your favorite charity.
