William H. Campbell Jr.

WORCESTER - William H. Campbell Jr., 66, died Monday, November 5, 2018 at the UMass-Memorial Medical Center from injuries sustained in a tragic accident.

He leaves two strong daughters and their spouses, Amelia Campbell Matton and Luke Matton of Framingham, and Amanda Campbell and Davi Dos Santos of Northborough; two extraordinary grandsons, Achaius and Aidan; two loving sisters, Patricia Shea and Margaret Campbell, both of Worcester; and five nieces and nephews.

Billy was born in Worcester, son of the late William H. and Frances M. (McQuaid) Campbell, and lived in Worcester all of his life.

He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Billy was a skilled auto body mechanic and a Jack of all trades. He was a handyman, and worked various jobs throughout the years.

He was a great sports fan following all Boston professional teams, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. He enjoyed an occasional cigar, and loved classic cars. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, November 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton will be private.
