Carol Douillard Obituary
Carol Marie Douillard

WORCESTER - Carol Marie (Cellucci) Douillard, 69, of Worcester passed suddenly of natural causes at home on Thursday, November 15, 2018.

She leaves her husband of 47 years, Paul R. Douillard; three daughters, Danielle Mackey and her husband Joshua of Millbrook, N.Y., Kristen Foley and her husband Brendan of Pawtucket, R.I., and Laura Ochs and her husband Jeffrey of Clinton, N.J.; a son, Joseph Douillard and his wife Alia of Quincy; two sisters, Judith Corbett and her husband Timothy of Marblehead, and Donna Sumner of Wayland.; twelve beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Carol was born in Newton, daughter of the late Donato and Margaret (Caruso) Cellucci. She has lived in Worcester for the majority of her life.

She was a graduate of Our Lady Help of Christians High School in Newton and Regis College in Weston.

Carol was an elementary school teacher for many years. She taught for more than ten years at Our Lady of the Angels School in Worcester. She also taught at Venerini Academy in Worcester and schools in New Jersey.

Aside from spoiling her grandchildren, her two main passions were cooking and gardening. She loved hosting gatherings with family and friends on holidays, game days and beautiful afternoons in her yard. Everyone who was lucky enough to attend these festivities will fondly remember how she decorated her home from top to bottom. Carol was immensely proud of her family and relished sharing news and stories with her friends.

In recent years, Carol found great enjoyment in organizing her High School class reunion and rekindling friendships.

Carol and Paul enjoyed traveling together and over the years visited many places around the world. Carol always enjoyed a good joke and was at her happiest next to Paul with her toes in Cape Cod sand and a gin-and-tonic in her hand.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, November 26, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Assumption College, 500 Salisbury Street, Worcester. Following the Mass, a Celebration of Life and luncheon will be held on the Assumption College campus.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol's memory to The Sophia FUNd (Mission Earth partner), , or a .
