John Furmanick Obituary

John Furmanick, 48

STERLING - John Furmanick, 48, of Clinton Road, died unexpectedly at UMass Memorial Healthcare on Sunday, January 5, 2014. He was born in Clinton, the son of John Furmanick and Carolyn M. (Kazmierczak) Ramsey and was a life-long resident of Sterling.

John attended Wachusett Regional High School and was the successful owner and operator of Kristal Klear Tree Services in Sterling. His true passion was the outdoors where he enjoyed working in the woods as a logger, tending to his gardens and casting his fishing rod on any given day. He especially enjoyed any motor sport activities including boating, snowmobiling and motor cross.

Above all, John was a family man devoted to Kristal, his soul mate and best friend, whom he loved and shared a home with for over 20 years. Together they raised their son, Clayton, who John was especially proud of. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends.

John is survived by his beloved companion, Kristal M. Dubovick; his son, Clayton J. Furmanick of Sterling; his daughter, Ashley M. Furmanick of Sterling; his mother, Carolyn M. Ramsey and his father, John Furmanick, both of Sterling; a brother, Joseph R. Furmanick of Sterling; two sisters, Jacquelyn M. Giroux and Evelyn J. Ramsey, both of Sterling; two nephews, Nicholas Giroux and John Phinney; and a niece, Bridget Phinney. He was predeceased by his stepfather, John Ramsey and his stepsister, Debra Ramsey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, Jan. 9, from 4-7 p.m. in the Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling, and again on Friday morning, Jan. 10, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a procession to St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling for a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sterling. Memorial donations may be made to the "Clayton Furmanick UTMA Fund" c/o Santander Bank, attn: Ralph Pallotta, P.O. Box 45, Sterling, MA 01564.
