Richard H.White Sr. 72
Oxford - Richard H. White Sr.72, of Oxford died peacefully Tuesday January 14, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 52 years Theresa E. (Sawicki) White, a son Richard H. White of Millbury, his daughter Gail R. Hargrave and her husband Al Jr. of Charlton. He was the proud grandfather to Nicholas and Nathan White, and Sofia and Angelina Hargrave. Richard also leaves a brother George Mikus of Florida, and his granddog Devo who will miss him.
Richard was born in Worcester son of the late Raymond and Helen (Mikus) White and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford 17 years ago. He attended Commerce High School. Richard worked for the Consolidated Fabricators of Auburn as a Sheet Metal Mechanic before he retired. Previous to that he worked for the Arduini Mfg. Company. In his earlier years he was the Head Coach for the Boys Bowling team for the Worcester Youth Game's and enjoyed bowling with family and friends.
Richard was in his glory when he was fishing on his boat with his grandchildren. What he cherished most was the time he spent with his grandchildren, He knew every schedule for Soccer and Softball and could always be heard cheering them on. He didn't miss any special occasion for them. His grandkids were his whole world and he was their best friend. He was a great Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Brother who will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Richards funeral service will be held at 7PM on Friday January 17 in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Calling hours to Honor and Remember Richard will be held on Friday from 4PM to 7PM in the funeral home prior to the Service. Interment will be Saturday morning at 9AM in St. Johns Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham Mass 01701.
