I send my sympathy to her family and friends. Betty was a wonderful person to work with; cheerful, helpful and caring. She was more of a friend than a co-worker and her loss is a very great one.

I was just perusing the 1966 Franklin High School year book and came across Betty's photos. I was telling my husband how lovely she was and decided to look her up to see what happened to her. My word, I didn't realize how smart and public service-minded she was. I did know she was kind, however. Amazing to see some familiar names here, like Loy Hardcastle, whose sister was one of my best friends during the short time we lived in Tennessee.

Betty has been such an important person for the state of Tennessee with all of her dedicated work at TennCare. Betty's kindness made such a difference in my life. Betty's looks always reminded me of Elizabeth Taylor--such a natural beauty.

I first met Betty in 1997 when I went to work for TennCare. I always admired her style, always dressed so well, her hair and makeup just perfect. A lovely lady. Whenever I would see her she always spoke so kindly and made you know she really was glad to see you. I'll be praying for her son, family and friends; for your comfort in the weeks to come. Betty Boner is sadly missed by me and many others.

To me, Betty was one of those people who would be around forever. I was very fortunate to spend a good portion of my youth with her. Even though I haven't seen her in many years, there's still a void that I will feel for many years to come.

Betty's heart was as big and kind and loving as any person I have ever known. She worried about others and animals before she worried about herself. She will be forever missed. I love you Miss BFB, my precious BFF!!!
