HALL, JR., James Alvin Age 73 of Hermitage, passed away June 9, 2012. He was a faithful, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather. James was recognized as the first Black State Trooper in Tennessee. He was a devoted member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where he and his family worshiped for 33 years. Preceded in death by parents, James Alvin Hall, Sr. and Annie Knight; brothers, Keith, Charles and Ricci Hall. He leaves to cherish, a devoted wife, Lora Hall; daughter, Maco (Barry) Haynes; son, Alfonza (Kim) Hall; daughter, Jamie Hall; brothers, Johnny Hall (Marie), Jimmy Hall (Veva); sisters, Wilma J. Hall (Jesse), Vivian L. Jiles; grandchildren, Tony Murrell, Brianna Hall, De'Shawn Haynes, Alfonza Hall, Jr., Loren Craig, Makel Hall, Brooklynn Davis and great- grandchildren, Dayton, Lia, and Johnysha Murrell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Viewing on Tuesday, June 12th at Emmanuel Lutheran Church from 6-8 p.m. Visitation with family Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 10-11 a.m., with funeral to follow at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1003 Hickory Hill Lane, Hermitage, TN 37076. We were so sadden to hear of James' passing. Our lives were forever changed by his love and gift of ministry through the games he brought to our church. He touched many many lives in our church.
