She was born April 15, 1934, the daughter of the late David and Jessie (Leonard) Neish. She was blessed to have the care of her grandmother and three aunts who lived a few doors away. Mary Jane worked in the Corning Museum Book Department, where she had the pleasure of meeting people from across the country and around the world. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and at the Corning Hospital Gift Shop. She was a member of Corning Hospital Chapter F, where she formed many wonderful friendships. Mary Jane was happiest when family and friends were gathered around her dinner table. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzler.

We always called her "Cookie Lady" , she always had cookies and water for us when we showed up to do work for her. I'm grateful when she accepted my daughter as her grandchild. She will be missed, til we see her in Heaven. My only regret is her husband had his favorite drink . I couldn't have one because I had to drive. My daughter is heartbroken.
