Oscar Hunt Obituary
Oscar "Ozzie" E. Hunt, age 79, of Corning, NY suddenly passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Ozzie was born September 23, 1937 in Elmira, NY to Ervin F. and Eunice C. (Breinlinger) Hunt. He leaves behind his wife Karalyn (Kari) Lacey who he married in September of 1996.

He graduated from Thomas Edison in 1955 and upon graduation joined the United States Air Force. From Kindergarten until graduation from TAE, Ozzie never missed one day of school. He served for 5 years until he was honorably discharged from service. He met his first wife Renee Hutchinson and married her in December of 1960. As a young man he worked for Brady Supply and then founded Corning Electronics which he operated from 1967-2007. He married his second wife, Martha Scott in September of 1976 and she predeceased him in February of 1989.

He was a passionate Dachshunds owner, providing a home for many fur friends throughout the years. Ozzie was rarely photographed as he was a lifetime photographer, even developing his own film. He also owned 5 Pontiac Firebird Trans Ams throughout the years. Later in life he enjoyed TV Shows such as Survivor, The Big Bang Theory and The Young and The Restless.
He is survived by his wife: Karalyn "Kari" Hunt ; daughters: Kimberly "Kimmer" (Nate) Youngs of Elmira Heights, Sonsiree "Soni" (Chris Clark) Lacey of Corning, Lejhanitai "Loni" Lacey, NV; grandchildren: James Youngs, Shelby Youngs, Lacey Cipollo, Michaela Cipollo and Justice Clark; 4 great grandchildren and Calvin Oscar LJ due in August; and his beloved dog, Greta.
Along with his parents he was predeceased by his brother George Hunt.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Corning Area Humane Society, 201 Sly Ave, Corning, NY.

Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning, NY on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from Noon-3:00pm. A graveside committal with full military honors will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Painted Post at 3:30 pm.
