Ken was a good friend of mine at Owens School and I am very sorry to hear of his death. I remember his kind mum and dad. Sadly his mum died when he was still a teenager. A very talented man.

I knew Ken when we shared digs in Kentish Town from 1962 until early 64. He introduced me to Raymond Chandler, Turkish baths and Murphy's casserole. All the stuff of happy memories -as was the motor tour of Spain, when Franco's guardia were still lurking in roadside ditches. Ken always loved a pithy phrase and his assertion that " the mark of a true professional is that he never takes work home" always lifts my spirits...now tinged with a sense of loss. I sympathise greatly with his family.

With both sadness in my heart, and the joy of wonderful memories of our friendship, I say goodbye to you Ken. I cherish our times together and the richness and humour you gave to my life. Condolences to Averil and family.

Ken was the best of friends, the wisest of mentors, and a constant presence in my life despite all the time that has passed and distance between us. My thoughts are very much with Averil, Lara and Luke tonight. My hopes are that the many happy memories of a life well lived will get you through the pain of this awful loss. With love and deep sorrow.
