NICHOLS, Edward (Ed):
On December 17, 2020, passed away peacefully at Elmswood Retirement Village, aged 97 years. Ice-skater, skier, canoeist, sailor, paralympian, butcher, renowned salmon smoker, innovator, and an inspiration to so many. Dearly loved husband of the late Shirl, loved dad of Jane and Richard Maxwell, Chris and Angela, John and Helen, Mark and Kay, and Paul and Deb, treasured granddad, and great-granddad of his 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren (and counting). Many thanks to Dr Jonathan Davies and the staff of Elmswood Retirement Village for their exceptional and loving care of Ed. A Celebration of Ed's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Monday, December 21, at 2.00pm, private cremation thereafter.
He lived life to the fullest.
