Clarence "Quick" Latiolais

ARNAUDVILLE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at a 12:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Clarence "Quick" Latiolais, age 81, who passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 8:45 p.m. at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas.

Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Keenan Brown, pastor of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Latiolais was a native of Cecilia and a resident of Arnaudville. He was a cook for Henry Dredging Company for several years and later became a welder for Layne Dredging and other companies until he retired. He was a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church. Mr. Latiolais enjoyed hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. He was a member of the military having served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty six years, Ludell B. Latiolais of Arnaudville; one son, Paul A. Latiolais and his wife, Dorothy, of Arnaudville; one daughter, Lillian L. Olivier and her husband, Kenneth, of Arnaudville; two brothers, Roy Latiolais and Patrick Latiolais both of Arnaudville; five grandchildren, Lana Savoie and her husband, Timmy, Michelle R. Olivier, Kaylin Olivier, Deanna Saizon and her husband, Alex, and Matthew R. Latiolais; and three great grandchildren, Anjolee' C. Savoie, Cle'lie C. Saizon and Hayden G. Savoie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olivier Latiolais and the former Laurnia Thibodeaux; five brothers, Harry Latiolais, Emery Latiolais, Carry Latiolais, Alex Latiolais and Javis Latiolais; and four sisters, Deanna Latiolais, Florence Latiolais, Seola Leblanc and Nela Landry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:30 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Paul Latiolais, Matt Latiolais, Aex Saizon, Kenneth Olivier, Roy Latiolais and Jason Guidry.
