Dolores Hebert Gorczakowsky
Lafayette - Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at 2:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Dolores Jeanne Hebert Gorczakowsky, 82, who passed away on January 11, 2021 at her residence in Lafayette. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until time of service.
A Rosary will be prayed by Rosa Trahan at 11:00 AM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home. Music will be provided by Karen Peterson Broussard.
Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
Reverend Brian Taylor, Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, Bochdan Gorczakowsky; her daughters, Glenda Cormier and husband, Rodrick and Gaye Gorczakowsky and fiance Phil Dore'; her grandson, Lane Cormier; sister, Lona Hamilton; and aunt, Alma Estilette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian Meaux Hebert and Felix Hebert; her son, Beau Felix Gorczakowsky; one sister, Shirley Rose and one brother, Henry.
Dolores was born in Maurice, Louisiana and was a resident of Lafayette for most of her life. She was a 1956 graduate of Lafayette High School. Dolores was an employee of South Central Bell for 19 years. She was a member of St. Leo the Great Altar Society, Parish Council, CCD program and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of Children of Mary, Catholic Daughters and Monsignor Teurlings KC Auxiliary.
Dolores enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, playing pokeno and going to the casino. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson Lane, the joy of her life.

Pallbearers will be Rick Hamilton, Neal Hamilton, David Estilette, Robert Hoey, Jr., Ross Dupuis and Rudy Dupuis.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Lane Cormier, Phil Dore', Paul Hoey and Glenn Landry.
A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the Gorczakowsky family to the staff of Heart of Hospice for their compassion and care, especially Mary Bowie.
