Lafayette - Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Francis Castille, Jr., age 71, who passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at his residence in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist Cemetery. The Rev. F. Hampton Davis, III, pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Castille was born May 8, 1947 to the union of Francis Castille, Sr. and the former Dorothy Salsman in Lafayette. He was a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. A hardworking and devoted man, Mr. Castille was employed with the Union Pacific for forty years. He enjoyed horseracing, watching football and camping in his RV. He was especially known for his attention to detail.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of fifty years, Loretta Castille of Lafayette; two daughters, Pamela Bishop and her husband, Harold, of Tuscaloosa, AL and Melanie Chaisson and her husband, Kevin, of Spring, TX; his mother, Dorothy Salsman Castille of Lafayette; one brother, Antoine Castille and his wife, Debra, of Lafayette; one sister, Juanita Guilbeau of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Harold "Trey" Bishop, III, Brandon Bishop, Lauren Bishop, Sydnye Chaisson and Kyle Chaisson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends that he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Castille, Sr.; one brother, Juan Castille; and one brother-in-law, Fredrick Guilbeaux, Sr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. Friday until service time on Friday.

Pallbearers will be Harold Bishop, Jr., Harold "Trey" Bishop, III, Brandon Bishop, Kyle Chaisson, Kevin Chaisson and Michael Guilbeau.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Grace Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Mr. Castille.
