Joyce Halphen Thibodeaux
Lafayette - Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel for Joyce Thibodeaux, age 90, who died on January 10, 2021 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
Inurnment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.
Reverend Jude Halphen PhD., with the Office of Marriage and Family Life for the Diocese of Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services.
For family members and friends who are unable to attend on January 14, 2021, at 11:00 AM, the service will be live-streamed to a Memorial Facebook Group dedicated to Joyce Halphen Thibodeaux. Survivors include her son, Butch Thibodeaux and his wife Jean; her daughter, Julie Bodden and her husband Steve; three grandchildren, Valerie Bordelon and her husband Taylor, Dex Bodden and his wife Crystal and Dillon Bodden and his wife Hillary; and four great grandchildren, Max and Joanna Bordelon and Thomas and John Luke Bodden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Thibodeaux; her parents, Dewey Halphen Sr. and the former Beatrice Dupois; two brothers, Dewey Halphen Jr. and Sam Halphen Sr.
Joyce, known as "Mimi", enjoyed working on puzzles, gardening, cooking for her family and always doing for others. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 9:00 AM to until time of services.
Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Thibodeaux's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
