With sweet memories and missing, I honor Patrick. He was always sharp, bright, generous, engaging . We shared Trinity College, same graduating class, remote friends there. I thought of him often in all the many years since, connecting again with him in the mid-1990s. He had you at hello for his kind of inclusiveness and understanding. A very few people are real inspirations in an eternal way; Patrick among the heroes. Patrick had impeccable timing and courage. He was a person to whom you could not say no. With condolences to all who knew him well, his family and friends whom he made into family. I was a distant admirer who knew just how special he really is. His story needs to be told over and over again--it is inspiring for all of us, especially the young who can see the change he seeded and the lives he saved because of his campaigns, creativity and actions.

As I was searching for details on my family, I came across Patrick, who captivated me just by his photo. My father passed away Sept 16, 1991 from Aids, and I was just reviewing his death certificate. I did the Aids Lifecycle in 2018. I hold survivors who've lived well past their projected death date very close to my heart. My heart goes out to your family, and friends, and all those who knew Patrick. I won't know him, but his photo showed me his kind eyes. Through spirits may he soar among the best and perhaps one day we will all meet again. My deepest condolences.

As someone who knew people who were impacted with HIV-AIDS, I wore the red ribbon and suportd the project with the HIV-AIDS awareness postage stamps. I put these stamps on every piece of mail, to spread the message. This disease is still very much in our population and people should not be taking it as complacently as they do. Bravo for stepping forward to bring attention to this viral killer. Rest well. Elizabeth R
