Lafayette - Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11:00am at Trinity CME Church in Lafayette for Ruby Edmond Wiltz-Dalcour, 82, who transitioned from this life to her eternal rest on November 16, 2019. Visitation will be observed at Kinchen Funeral Home on Friday, November 22nd from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and resume Saturday November 23rd from 8:00am at Trinity CME Church until time of service. Rev. Maggie C. Banks will officiate.

Interment will follow in Trinity C.M.E. Cemetery in Lafayette.

Ruby was born July 1, 21937 in Youngsville and was a lifetime resident of Lafayette. Ruby retired after 25 years with the Lafayette Parish School Board of Education as a Teacher/ GED Program Coordinator. She also retired after 23 years from the Lafayette Parish Government as a Library Director Assistant for Butler Memorial Library.

Ruby is survived by her children Ophelia Wiltz, Lionel (Mary) Wiltz, Bertha Clemons, Paula (Romon) Breaux, Cecil (Julie) Wiltz, Mittie Edmond and Audrey Joseph, all of Lafayette, LA; and Laura (Arthur) Hunt of Cedar Hill, TX.; grandchildren Marco Landry, Dwayne and Derrick Wiltz, Venice Clemons, Curtis Breaux, Cecil Wiltz II, Coty Wiltz, Courtney Wiltz all of Lafayette, LA; Jacolby Colomb and Corey Colomb of The Colony, TX, and Valarie Breaux of Addison, TX, step brother Chester Sonnier and step sister Jeanette Wiltz both of Lafayette, LA, dearly loved Patrick Colomb of Prosper, TX, sister in laws Geraldine Wiltz and Velma Wiltz both of Lafayette, LA, along with a host of great grand-children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents Pierre and Ophelia Edmond, husband(s) Lionel Wiltz and Felix Dalcour, special companion Joseph DeVance, siblings and spouses: brothers Joseph (Savannah), Paul (Beatrice), Dennis (Anna), Frank (Viola), Claude (Bertha), Alvin (Rally Mae Edmond; sisters Lena Williams, Annabelle Augustine (Andrus), Helen Martin (James), step sisters Shirley Wiltz (Eldrick), Mary Ann Lavan (Freddy), brother-in-law Leonard Wiltz and sister-in-law Gloria Wiltz (Joseph).

The family wishes to thank the staff at Lourdes Hospital and Magnolia Estates for the care given to Ruby Wiltz Dalcour.
