Danny and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We all know that Aunt Dot entered the kingdom of her Lord and Savior when she left this world. She is now reunited with Uncle Jimmie, Mickey, and Mike. I know my mom and dad were at the pearly gates to meet her.
Love,

Danny and Family,
Your Mother was one special lady, generous, loving, and always supportive of Istrouma Baptist Church and the family of members there. She also had a wonderful sense of humor and would keep you smiling. We loved her and Jimmie and I know that they are now reunited in heaven. May Our Lord Jesus Christ sustain you and the family with the wonderful memories that you share.

Dot and Jimmie worked with a bunch of kids in the late '50's. We learned a lot from them and grew closer to the Lord. He was always who they pointed to. We are better people because of Dot and Jimmie.

What else can be said about such a classy, virtuous woman? She carried the world on her back for over 50 years, and so graciously served our Lord. Anyone she met, she greeted with a smile. A smile that Jesus unmistakeably shined through.

Dot Johnston was a legend in the faith, and a inseparable part of Istrouma's great heritage.

I have placed this woman on a pedestal, and rightfully so. Her and Mr. Jimmie were great examples for the McCollister's over the last century, and it's hard to let her go.

But I can't think of a loss that can be so celebrated. The Lord left Mrs. Dot around long after her family left this world, and she waited here and served paitiently.

Now she will be welcomed into eternity by Mr. Jimmy and Mike and Mickey -- the family she poured her life out for -- along with all the countless lives she has touched.

I'm know her eyes lit up and her smiled dazzled when she heard Jesus say, "Well done."

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dot's family and friends. She was living proof that one person's life (example) could have such a profound effect on the lives of those she touched.
