I HAD TO GO AWAY

I had to go away.
I'm sorry you couldn't come with me.
But on earth is where you shall stay.
Please do not be sad.
Instead laugh and be glad.
I'm in a beautiful place, such a beautiful place.
I know you wont see me for a while.
But you will hear from me.
I will be the wind that will chill you on a hot summer day.
I will be the sun that will warm you when it's cold.
Listen to the birds sing, I will be saying, "I love you" in their song.
I know you can't touch me.
But you will feel me.
Because I will be inside of you giving you life on the days you feel like you can't go on anymore.
Please I beg of you, go on, live your life as I lived mine.
Always remember we will be together again.
I will be patiently waiting for you on that day.
When you will join me in this beautiful place.
Until then may God bless you with his almighty grace.

My deepest condolences to all of his family. He was a thoughtful contributor to a Contemporary Music forum that I frequent, and his respect and love for the music and its purpose will be missed. May his faith bring him the great rewards he deserves.

I'm so sorry to hear of your family's loss. It was such a senseless tragedy. Although I don't know any of you, I was touched by your close-knit, caring family which I am also blessed with. I wish you peace and solace in the days ahead and that you are comforted by friends, family and your faith in God.

Jerome/Lisa,

It has been a very long time and I'm not sure if you remember me (Darren Gibbons), but I surely remember Gerard and your family. It sometime seems not that long ago....

I am currently in Afghanistan and my Mom just informed me of this tragic Accident. I speak for my entire family when i say our thoughts and prayers are with you. I have alot of great memories from those days in Paulina and Grand Point, and Gerard was a big part of that.

God Bless,
Darren Gibbons & the Gibbons Family
