A retired waitress and a resident of Holden, she died Friday, March 27, 2009, in Hammond. She was 89 and a native of Livingston. Visiting at Community Chapel in Walker on Monday, March 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Religious services at the chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Shannon K. Watts. Interment in Hebron Baptist Cemetery, Denham Springs. Survived by a daughter, Mary E. "Jean" Guidry and husband John W.; and six grandchildren. Preceded in death by husbands, J.D. Tyler Sr. and Jesse J. DeLatte; a son, Joseph D. Tyler Jr.; mother, S. Emily Watkins; father, A. Maurice Watkins; and two sisters, Lettieteen Blount and Belva Watts.
