Donald E. Fisher, age 85, of Norman passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown.
He was a member of Liberty Christian Church.
Donald graduated from Clearspring High School in 1948 and was a salesman for Moorman Feeds for numerous years. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Brownstown and served in the United States Army in Alaska. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed bowling.
Born Aug. 21, 1929, in Norman, he was the son of Luke and Ruby (Cummings) Fisher, both of whom preceded him in death.
Survivors include four brothers, Dean (Estelle) Fisher, David (Janet) Fisher, Daniel (Karen) Fisher and Dwight Fisher, all of Norman; and three sisters, Norma Lou (Bill) Miller of Mt. Ayer, Joy Fish of Columbus and Sue (Russell) Callahan of Medora.
In addition to both parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Fay Brittain, Wanda Fisher and June Hoaks.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Spurgeon Funeral Home Inc., Brownstown, with Ronnie Plumer officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at Spurgeon Funeral Home Inc. on Tuesday.
Interment will be at Liberty Cemetery, Norman. Military honors will be presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled American Veterans 47 and Vietnam Vets 7.
Memorials may be given to Hoosier Christian Village.
