Everett Cruz Obituary
He was born and raised in Brighton and graduated from Brighton High School in 1957. He was a highly skilled and innovative bassist for more than 50 years.
He was welcomed into heaven by his mom, Tammie; and his son, Kevin. His survivors are his wife, Georgia; his daughter, Rae-Marie and sons, Rod, Fred and Stephen.
No services will take place. Prayers are welcome.

Hey Mr Everett ...Ralph here just want to say I think of you at times and didn´t know you went to be with our lord....When we would see each other we always talked....But the memory that I like is when you played that fretless bass at that dance . You were awesome and gave me a ride home that night......Thanks for being my friend and tell everyone hello from me....See you again one day...Gods Grace be with you my friend...

Happy Anniversary! Here we are at another year in our lives celebrating another beautiful anniversary!! This year marks our our 45th year hun and I would NEVER want to spend it with anyone but you!! The night we met my heart just fluttered
And our first date made my heart feel like it was going to beat right out of my chest!! Those days have NEVER changed hun AND they never will. I am so proud to call you my husband Ev and I look forward to another 45 years!!

Things down here are kind of not so bueno for us, yet I know everything will soon change for the better! As long as we can continue to believe in the LORD knowing he will always give us strength and love and knowing You, Kevin, Grandma and Gloria are praying for us too we will always survive all things! Well it's been a year today that our Lord took you to Heaven. Ev, losing you has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through! I miss you just as much today as I did a year ago! Knowing you're with Grandma and Kevin helps me to know you are at peace and with the ones you love! I will NEVER, EVER forget you Ev! Hi Daddy!
Christmas was not the same without you. It honestly just felt like any other day. I missed being able to buy you a brand new watch and new clothes and a new... ANYTHING ELSE and having you unwrap them and tell me that it was too much and me telling you that NOTHING is too much for you and you smiling at me and us hugging like we used to!
Like my momma said in an earlier posting, Christmas' won't ever be the same without you (no Holidays will). You were/are/always will be something/someone VERY special Daddy!

You never looked for praises and were never one to boast, but you always worked hard everyday, for the ones you loved the most. You were always there, a firm foundation, through all the stages of my life. I knew that I could count on you to be there in times of happiness or strife. My best friend and my hero, we had (and will always have) such a close bond and I'm glad. But what I'm most happy for and most proud of is I'm your daughter and you're my dad!!!!
