Roy Andres Morales, of Brighton, passed away at home, March 11. Roy was born, Aug. 4, 1933, in Anton Chico, New Mexico, to Felipita and Luperto Morales.
Roy was loved and respected by many who knew him and known fondly as Uncle Roy. Roy served in the United States Navy, enlisting Dec. 5, 1955. He lived in Brighton most of his life, attending Brighton public schools. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton.
Roy worked for Kuners as a truck driver and salesman for 37 years.
Survivors are his children, Roy (MaryAnn) Morales Jr., of Brighton, David Morales, of Brighton, Fred (Charlene) Morales, of Lochbuie, Marlene Morales, of Brighton, and Andrea Morales, of Denver; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Micel, Leo and Severo Morales; and a sister, Sally Abeyta, preceded him in death.
Visitation and a Rosary were March 15 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton, which handled the arrangements. The Mass of Christian burial was March 16 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton. Interment was at Fort Logan National Cemetery March 20.
