Michael Charles Soule
Michael Charles Soule, 61, of Fresno, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013. Michael was born in Salinas, to Arline and Jerry Soule.
Michael loved surfing in his youth and would travel all over the world in search for the perfect wave. He moved to Albuquerque as a tennis pro in the late 70's. He also joined the Charlie Summons Blues band as their harmonica player where they performed on many stages over the years. He was known as Slick to many in the music field. Michael moved a number of times for his work and training: Florida, Virginia, Arizona, Philadelphia, Hawaii and Guatemala.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Madeline Soule. She was the love of his live and he was so proud of her when she graduated this year from the University of Wisconsin.
Michael resided in Fresno for the past 14 years, where his surviving sister, Carol Aguirre; brother-in-law, Kirk Aguirre and parents, Arline and Jerry Soule live. He also is survived by his ex-wife, Debra Soule of Texas. Michael also leaves behind a number of cousins, nieces, nephews and his cat, Prada.
The family would like to thank Murray Kelly and Bill Kelly for being "best friends" through thick and thin.
Remembrances may be sent to the CA Feline Foundation of Fresno or the Central Valley Blues Society, P.O. Box 9855, Fresno, CA 93794.

I knew Mike in New Mexico thru music - he was the harp player for Charlie Summons Blues Band when he wasn't my next door neighbor! I was very involved in the local jazz scene & had Wed. afternoons off - when I would hold jam sessions at my home downtown & Mike always showed up + practiced on my piano regularly! He was the tennis pro at ABQ Country Club & jammed out all over town. He's been on my mind so much recently - so sad to know he's at the big jam session in the sky - but the memories of this handsome, talented man are beautiful!

Uncle Mike,
You were the funest uncle ever! I always loved going to your house; always hoping I could be first in line to give you a back massage for $5...it was the most money I'd ever earned. Max usually got there first, though.
Thank you for my wonderful cousin...what a beautiful legacy to leave.
Rest in peace, Uncle Slick.
