Carmen you will always be in my heart, my friend. I was able to see and talk to you that one last time and I cried after I left you. You were so brave and told me you were tired. Thank you for the beautiful blanket you made for me. You left beautiful memories and always were there for family and friends. Our phone talks were always ended with "I love you my friend." Another angel in the sky...

The news of you being sick again shocked me at first, until I brushed it off and told myself you got through once u can do it again. As the week progressed... So did your sickness. I did not want to accept the fact that you were ready to be my angel. As selfish as it sounds I wanted you here forever, or until I was able to get home. The addition of u telling me not to come home and finished school was even harder. To stay away from home to every ounce of energy. Wednesday morning I didn't only lose my Tia I lost a friend and a neighbor. At night I hold ur hand made blanket so close and pretend every night that's you giving me a warm hug. I miss you more then you know. It hurt to talk to you for the last time. I just wanted to let you know how much I love you and miss you and how much more drive I have to complete school. I'll see you again one day Tia Carmen.

Grandma there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you. This is so hard, so unfair but I know you are in a better place. I miss you so much and I wish God didn't take you away from me but I know you fought and I know the cancer won but you are still a winner in my eyes! You were here for me, you listened and you believed in me when nobody else did and I cant thank you enough for all you have done. You had the biggest heart and I cry every night because you aren't here and keep asking God why but I know you are in a better place. Just know that I love you, I miss you and you will always be in my heart and my best friend! I promise to finish school no matter how hard it is, no matter how broke I am I will do it for you and I will keep your memory alive forever and ever…send your angel wings here on earth because I can sure use a guardian. I love you Grandma!!
