Elizabeth P. Sanchez
Elizabeth P. Sanchez, 72, of Salinas, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at home. She was born June 22, 1940, in Watsonville.
Liz was a daughter, mother, grandmother and wife of 53 years. She was dedicated and loyal to her family, and took joy in their many visits. While her success in work surpassed the expectations of some, she achieved accolades from the real estate industry, and was proud to place families in a deserving home. Her marriage of 53 years to the love of her life, her companion, her caregiver and bickering partner was remarkable. As mother she was the best, as a grandmother better but being a daughter she was both friend and confidante. Her life is now pain free and her presence will be missed by many.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Everett Sanchez; daughter, Veronica Babcock of Salinas; granddaughter, Brianna Babcock of Rocklin, CA; Grandson Connor Babcock of Fremont; mother, Petra Rivas of Salinas; brothers, Ernest Rivas Jr. of Salinas and George Rivas of Cloverdale; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

It will be the little things
that you will remember,
the quiet moments,
the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem
hard right now,
it will be the memories
of these little things
that help to push
away the pain
and bring the smiles
back again.
