Everett C. McAdams

Everett "Mac" C. McAdams passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. He was born July 19, 1925, in Beaver, OK. He was a resident of Salinas since 1942.

Mac attended Salinas High School until he joined the Navy in 1943. He was a 2nd Class storekeep and was on Saipan during World War II.

After his discharge in July of 1946, Mac attended Hartnell College and was active in sports, mainly football.

Mac's main interest was his love for deep sea fishing on his boat, Big Daddy. For a short time he had a fishing gear store in Salinas. Along with that he was a bartender at the King's Den as well as several other places over the years.

Mac was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; infant daughter, Deborah Ann; and parents, Daisy and Ray McAdams.

He is survived by his sons, Mike of Salinas and Dennis of San Mateo; brothers, Ernest McAdams of Salinas, and Lynn McAdams of Missoula, MT; sister, Betty Mickovsky of Painesville, OH; along with many nieces and nephews and two grandsons.

At his request, no services will be held.
