Iwas John's teammate[QB] and friend. Remember his huge 8 cylinder Packard which seemed to fit his personality, that is bigger than life. We enjoyed those years at Pitt. God richly bless you all!!

Dear Jan & Guzik Family,
My cousin "Sonny" and brother Bob were very special to me and my departed brother Ron, a high school classmate of Bob. We all grew up in Lawrence, PA and enjoyed a wonderful childhood. Ron & I spent many a evening with Sonny & Bob renting rooms at the Guzik's Locust Grove Motel in our teen years. John & Bob had the evening shift after school, and then Big John would stay overnight. In the morning my Aunt Vera and her sister, my mother Yolanda would come and clean the rooms.
We all followed John when he played at Pitt, and were thrilled seeing him on the Bob Hope All American show. He was a terrific athlete.
My wife Gerry and I wish we could have known your family better, as we only had one visit to John's home a few years ago. We sure hope our paths will cross in the future, because we would really like to share some of our reflections of Sonny with you.

Dear Janet and Family,
My prayers are with you and John's departed soul. What a great person he was. We grew up together in Lawrence, PA, and I have very fond memories of those early years. John was a guard, and I was the center, on the Cecil High Bulldogs Football Team. We also caddied at St. Clair Country Club together, and we hunted together with our fathers. John never forgot his roots and old friends. I was alerted to his passing by one of our high school teammates, Harry Krall, who now lives in California. John always said that it is amzazing that a "rag tag" bunch of kids like us all went on to do well. John was a great man, and he left his footprint.
My prayers and sympathy,

To all the family and friends of Mr. Guzik,my heart and prayers I send to you. I met Mr. Guzik back around 1982 as at that time I cleaned houses and his was one. I knew all the boys as well as his then girlfriend,Janet. I once suggested to Mr. Guzik that Janet was a keeper,I guess he listen. When I got married in 1986,Mr Guzik gave me a large beautiful painting as a wedding present, that I'd mention one time that I liked it,I still have it.I remember when Keith passed away,he was a good kid.Even though this is a sad time,it also is a happy time by knowing in your hearts that Keith was there with arms opened, welcoming his Dad.
