Ruth E. Bohnert

Ruth Bohnert passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Ruth was born March 13, 1932, in St. Louis, MO.

Ruth left St. Louis at the young age of 18 and moved west to California. Ruth will be remembered for her dedication to others. She spent much of her life working and caring for her children in Sunnyvale. Her dedication and love to her children was first and foremost in her life while in Sunnyvale. After her children were grown she moved to Hanford in order to provide care for one of her sisters that needed full time assistance. Her constant unselfish care helping her special needs sister was steadfast until her sister passed away four years ago. Ruth then moved to Fort Walton Beach, FL to be with her daughter. Recently, when her health began to fail, Ruth was always positive and grateful. Ruth died in her Florida home in the company of her daughter and son, Allen, leaving a life of helping others to the comfort of our Lord and Savior. In addition to the loving care she gave to others, she will be remembered for her quick wit, humor in all situations and her love for professional football. GO STEELERS!

She is survived by her brother, Paul Coons; her daughter, Ruth Aliotti; and sons, Mike and Allen Bohnert. She has four grandchildren, Mattherw Bohnert, Justin Bohnert, Aaron Aliotti and Shannon Aliotti-Fink and one great-granddaughter Kendall Bohnert.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., at San Carlos Cemetery, Monterey.
