Eleanor Mary Wilson, 85, of DuBois, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
She was born in Trade City, Indiana County, a daughter of the late Elmer and Idabelle (Gaul) Martin.
On Sept. 17, 1949, she married Robert Ray Wilson. He survives and resides in DuBois.
Eleanor owned and operated Eleanor Wilson's Beauty Shop up until last year. She not only loved to do the hair of her clients, but she also deeply treasured their friendships.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Treasure Lake Church. She was a woman of great faith and enjoyed reading her Bible.
Her enjoyments were shopping, watching her favorite sports, and reading her Bible.
In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by three children, Barbara J. Reed and husband Dale of Greensburg, Ken Wilson and wife Debra of McDonald, and Ron Wilson and wife Lisa of Dublin, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Jason, Chad, Heidi, Doug, Kylie, Jordan, Alex and Jacob; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Isabelle Neal of Punxsutawney, and Beverly Lyons of Marchand; three brothers, Richard Martin and wife Lois of Franklin, Robert Martin and wife Norma of Trade City, and Noel Martin and wife Kathy of Punxsutawney.
Preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Joann Winebark; four brothers, George, Donald, Vernon and Walt Martin.
Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Friday at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Smicksburg Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Eleanor's memory to the Treasure Lake Church.
