Albert R. Wells, 68, of Reynoldsville, Pa., died on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at his home in Reynoldsville, Pa.
Born Thursday, Nov. 11, 1948, in DuBois, Pa., he was the son of the late Donald Wells and the late Sarah (Weary) Wells. He was the husband of Sally (Ecelberger) Wells of 48 years.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, were he received a Bronze Star. He retired from the US Army Reserves after 20 years and retired from the Department of the Army as a civilian.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, the American Legion, a lifetime member of the Reynoldsville Fire Department and former EMT for Reynoldsville Ambulance.
He was an avid Hummingbird race fan. He loved to go to family camp, and feed bears and other animals. He loved be around his grandchildren and his dog, Jenny.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Russell Wells (Shelly) of Reynoldsville, Pa., and Randall Wells (Tammy) of Clermont, Fla.; brothers, John Wells (Betty) of DuBois, Pa., Richard Wells (Wendy) of Oklahoma, and Bradley Wells (Karen) of Reynoldsville, Pa.; sister, Donna Schmitz (Randy) of DuBois, Pa.; five grandchildren: Tiffany Sukys (Sean), Mikayla Wells, Richard Siple, Austin Kramer (Leanna) and Jessie Wells; two great-grandchildren, Eddy and Bella Kramer.
A funeral service will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, located at 504 Jackson St., Reynoldsville, PA 15851, with the Rev. Thomas Carr officiating. Military honors will be preformed by the Jefferson County Veterans Honor Guard following the service.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, 504 Jackson St., Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania.
