Alice Jane Gayley, 76, of Brookville, passed away in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015.
She was born Sept. 30, 1938, in Brookville, to David T. and Violet Gayley; both precede her in death.
She worked as a government contractor doing computer programming throughout her career.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Brookville. She was an avid reader and loved history, especially the era of the Civil War.
She is survived by her brother, David Gayley, of Santa Cruz, Calif.; numerous nieces and a nephew.
A sister and a brother also preceded her in death.
Family and friends will be received from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at the McKinney-d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will be held the same day, beginning at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home, with the Rev. Nathan Royster officiating. Interment will take place at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Eldred Township, Jefferson County.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the , 823 Filmore Ave., Erie, PA 16505.
