Ann M. Carney, age 91, of West Long Ave., DuBois, Pa., formerly of Green Glen Drive, died Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Christ the King Manor.
Born on April 15, 1924, in Kittanning, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Novosat) Brosky.
She was married to Robert D. Carney Sr. for 65 years. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2010.
Ann was a homemaker and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, where she was a past member of the Altar Rosary Society and a Eucharistic minister. She was also a group leader for Small Christian Communities, a member of the church choir, coordinated a team from St. Catherine's to work at the food pantry, and was a catechist at St. Catherine's for special needs children. She was also involved in Camp Confidence, and Special Olympics.
She is survived by her children: Roberta A. "Robynn" Camuso and her husband Stephen of DuBois, Pa., Renee D. Hill and her husband R. Barry of Newport Richey, Fla., R. Scott Carney and his wife Gina of York, Pa., and Robert D. "RD" Carney Jr. of Reynoldsville, Pa.; six grandchildren: Christian and MacKenzie Camuso, Ryleigh Ann and R. Bryce Hill, and Michael and Matthew Carney; and a great-grandchild, Lorenzo Camuso. She is also survived by two brothers, Joseph and George Brosky, both of Brockway, Pa.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Robert, and Frank Brosky.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc. A scriptural wake service will be prayed Monday at 4:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery.
