Ann Malinky, 92, Sykesville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at her residence after a short illness.
Born Dec. 25, 1921, in Madera, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Kudlia Kalenish. She was married to John Malinky who preceded her in death in 2000.
Ann had worked for Bell Aircraft in NY, Sylvania in Brookville and an Egg Processing Factory in DuBois. She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in DuBois, the Sykesville Senior Center and enjoyed Bingo. She lived in Sykesville for many years.
Ann is survived by two sons, John M. Malinky and wife, Nancy, of Sykesville and Eward C. Malinky and wife, Linda, of Wilcox; two sisters, Sue Alley of New Jersey and Catherine Kuhn of Utahville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Kalenish Jr.; three half brothers: John, Mike and Joe Bozik; and a sister, Mary Zimmerman.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in Sykesville. Panachida will be held at 7:15 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Divine liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in DuBois with the Rev. Fr. Mark Meholick officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Orthodox Cemetery in Madera.
