Anna A. Baker, age 96, Rumbarger Avenue, DuBois, Pa., died Sunday, May 7, 2017, at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born June 3, 1920, in DuBois, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Anthony B. and Anna A. (Jasinskas) Matulis.
On June 19, 1943, she married Gregory C. Baker. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1999.
Anna retired from Brockway Glass Company. Previous to that, she had worked at B.F. Goodrich in DuBois and Jackson China Co. in Falls Creek, Pa.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and the Old Towne Beagle Club. She, along with her husband, raised beagles and always loved gardening and the outdoors.
Anna is survived by a sister, Mary M. Scarnati of Brockway, Pa. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Leo Matulis; a sister, Jane Foradori; and a foster sister, Adelle Makufka.
There will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 10 a.m. from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
