Anna Katherine Sekora Rupert-Ceconi, 97, Brookville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at the Jefferson Manor.
Born Dec. 2, 1917, in Greensburg, she was a daughter of the late John and Pauline Anna Lenhardt Sekora. Anna married John Rupert on July 1, 1939. He preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1987.
She lived life to the fullest as a dedicated wife, mother, and consummate homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family and her home.
Anna also lived an active life outside the home and had a passion for quilting. She was an active member of the Thimble Nimble Quilters Guild, the Grace Lutheran Church of Brookville, the Martha V. Conrad Study Club and The Order of The Eastern Star.
She is survived by one daughter, Delores A. Kennemuth and husband, John, of Brookville; one son, Ronald W. Rupert of Yipsilanti Mich.; eight grandchildren: Denise and her husband, Thomas Dolheimer; Keith, Timothy, Ron, Lisa, Bryan, Austin and Hayden Rupert, Paula (Kennemuth) Lasky, Rhonda (Kennemuth) Johnston, and Jennifer (Kennemuth) Mineweaser; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas A. Rupert; four brothers: Johnny Sekora, William Sekora, Paul Sekora and Harry Sekora; one sister, Helen Michaels; a stepbrother, Theodore Koenen; and three stepsisters: Althea Koenen, Leisel Koenen and Josephine Mohlen Kott.
Anna was interred beside her husband, John Rupert, Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church in Brookville and is tentatively scheduled for spring 2015. Announcement to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Anna's memory may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church, 160 Franklin Ave, Brookville, PA.
