Annette M. Clinger, age 69, of DuBois, died peacefully Monday, May 16, 2016, at Nelson's Golden Years.
Born on March 13, 1947, in DuBois, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Celeste (Himes) Bures. On Aug. 6, 1965, she married the late Richard Clinger.
She was employed by the Consolidated Coal Company, but spent the majority of her life as a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in DuBois. She was passionate about animals and enjoyed showing her lionhead rabbits at local agriculture and youth fairs.
She is survived by two sons, John Bures of DuBois and Samuel (Georgette) Clinger of Windber; two daughters, Cristina (Don) Vallies of Punxsutawney and Marina Harmon of Falls Creek; five grandchildren; and one brother, George (Florence) Bures.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Celeste Bures of DuBois, Pa. and her husband, Richard Clinger.
At Annette's request, her body was donated for the advancement of science. Immediate family members will hold a private ceremony in Annette's honor. There will be no public visitation. Memorial donations may be made to the Gateway Humane Society of Falls Creek, Pa.
