Anthony "Chike" Muccio, 89, of Cherry Avenue, Weedville, Pa., died Friday, May 13, 2016, at Penn Highlands DuBois, DuBois, Pa.
Born Feb. 20, 1927, in Penfield, Pa., he was a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Dilullo) Muccio. He was married to Irene (Chiappelli) on Sept. 19, 1953. She survives.
Anthony was a graduate of Penfield High School.
He served in the US Navy during World War II.
He was the past owner of the Bennetts Valley Lanes for 20 years and had been owner of Anthony Muccio School Transportation for the past 50 years.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bennetts Valley Legion, Huston Township Alumni, Bennetts Valley Rod and Gun Club, Penfield Firemen's and a 40-year member of the Lions Club, where he is a past District Governor.
He lived all his life in Bennetts Valley.
In addition to his wife, Irene (Chiappelli) Muccio of Weedville, he is also survived by one sister, Esther "PeeWee" Nelson of DuBois, Pa., and was loved by his many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Carpin; and three brothers, Angelo, Dominic "Tom" and John Muccio.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. today, Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield, Pa. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2016, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Force, Pa., with Father William Sutherland as celebrant. Military honors will be accorded by the Bennetts Valley Legion Post 978 Burial Detail. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Bennetts Valley Lions, PO Box 71, Weedville, Pa.; the Bennetts Valley Ambulance or St. Joseph Catholic Church and will be accepting online condolences at
