Arnold E. "Ed" Fonner, 92, Hewitt Street, Brockway, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.
Born Nov. 1, 1922, in Halsey, he was the son of the late Arnold Joseph and Bertha George Fonner. On April 16, 1971, he was married to Joanne Abrahamson. She survives.
Retired, Ed had been employed at Brockway Glass as a store room manager.
He was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran, and a member of St. Tobias Church in Brockway. He also was a member of the Brockway Sportsmens Club and Parson-Marnatti Post #95 of the American Legion.
Ed enjoyed antiques, playing cards and had a love for cars, especially Cadillacs.
He is also survived by a sister, Nellie L. Weiss of Punxsutawney; three brothers-in-law/sisters-in-law: Kenneth Abrahamson of DuBois, Fred and Diane Murray of DuBois, Carl and Darlene Abrahamson of Brockway, Susanne Smith of Muskogee, Okla., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters and a sister-in-law, Kay Abrahamson.
There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 20, at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with the Rev. Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
