Betty L. Burtop, 79, 922 S. Pancoast Road, Reynoldsville, died Saturday evening, May 2, 2015, at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 28, 1936, in DuBois, she was a daughter of the late James V. and Mary A. Walton Crytser. On Sept. 28, 1954, she married Harry A. Burtop. He preceded her in death April 11, 1996.
Betty was a 1954 graduate of DuBois Area High School. She was a retired bookkeeper for Keystone Bus Company, Reynoldsville.
She was Protestant by faith.
She was a member of the Falls Creek Fire Department and Warsaw Township Fire Department Auxiliary.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo.
Betty is survived by three sons, Edward (Sheri) Burtop of Reynoldsville, John Burtop of Gettysburg and Harry Burtop of Reynoldsville; two daughters, Peggy (Craig) Lindemuth of Brockway and Penny (Daniel) Thompson of Sigel; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alice (Martin) Nelson of DuBois.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Eugene Burtop; one grandson, Joseph Lindemuth; and one sister, Doris Crytser.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville. Private family services officiated by Pastor Charles M. Lee Jr. will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Reynoldsville Cemetery.
