Betty Louise Felton Snyder, 91, of Brookville died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at the Jefferson Manor.
Born Jan. 27, 1923, in RD4 Brookville, she was the daughter of the late William Traister and Annie Aaron.
Betty attended high school at Coder Run. She married Van Lee Felton on Feb. 3, 1940, in Marianville. After his death in 1964, she later married Charles Snyder. He also preceded her in death.
Her occupation was being a homemaker. She was a member of Living Church International located at 59 W. Penn St. in Summerville.
Betty is survived by four sons: Clarence "Cookie" (Elaine) Felton of Springboro, George (Polly) Felton of Star, N.C., Robert Felton, also of Star, N.C., Thomas Felton of DuBois; two daughters, Sally (LeRoy) McManigle of Biscoe, N.C., Helen Gagliardi of St. Marys; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Merle Van Felton; and four brothers: James, Harold, Milo and Eugene Traister. Also preceding her in death were two great-grandchilden.
Her family will receive friends on Monday, July 21, 2014, from 1-3 pm at the Furlong Funeral Home, Gregory K. Furlong FD, corner of Broad Street and First Avenue, Summerville. The service will follow at 3 pm. with Pastor Karen Shay and Rev. David Shay officiating.
Burial will be in the Living Church Cemetery, Redbank Township, Clarion County.
